JFCS is included in the Jewish Community Partnership, a consortium of agencies that serves as a vital community resource in Long Beach and Orange County. These agencies include the Jewish Long Beach, Alpert Jewish Community Center, Jewish Federation of Orange County, The Merage Jewish Community Center in Irvine, The Jewish Collaborative of Orange County, Long Beach Hillel, The Claims Conference, and Jewish Community Foundation Orange County. JFCS also partners with community agencies that align with our mission of serving everyone, regardless of religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. These agencies include WomenShelterLB, The LGBTQ Center of LB and The Nonprofit Partnership.
Jewish Long Beach (formerly Jewish Federation and Jewish Community Foundation of Long Beach/West Orange County) raises funds, convenes leadership, and focuses energy around a unified vision for our community as it aids the sustainability of all the Partnership agencies. It also builds long-term endowments and invested funds that ensure the future of the Jewish community and its partner agencies.
The “J” serves over 10,000 members with programs such as early childhood education, fitness, opportunities for seniors to socialize, and many other events that draw not only from the Jewish community but from the community at large. www.alpertjcc.org
